Jones-Harrison is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a deep and fascinating history.
- Founded in 1888 by like-minded Woman’s Christian Association members.
- We received a generous donation of land from Judge Edwin S. Jones and a financial legacy from Jane T. Granger Harrison.
- A safe haven for the aging poor, we provided an opportunity to start anew through employment and life skills.
- Today, we remain at the forefront of change, delivering innovative programs and services for the highest-quality continuum of care that nourishes the mind, body, and spirit.

Meet the Board of Directors
Jones-Harrison’s board comprises a group of committed volunteers passionate about older adults living well and thriving. The 11 current board members come from diverse careers and work collectively to advocate for the organization and serve the best interests of current and future residents. In collaboration with the leadership team, the board oversees governance issues from finance and strategic leadership to quality of life. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the board guides the reinvestment of any profit back into our core mission of “nurturing lives of passion and purpose for older adults in a loving and inclusive environment.”
The board’s multi-faceted expertise, wisdom, and insights strengthen our senior living community. The board members’ passion and commitment are evident from their generous contributions of time and resources. We are grateful for their support and guidance.
